Creepy Jar is proud to announce the long-awaited current-gen console launch of Green Hell, arriving on August 14, 2024. The game will be available on both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, offering a free upgrade for all owners of the last-gen version. This release will include previously unreleased content that was exclusive to the PC version until now.
The current-gen console version of Green Hell will be priced at $24.99 USD at launch, with a 20% discount for the first 14 days. Console players will now have access to updates #17 - Storage & Transportation, #18 - Fortifications, and #19 - Flamekeeper for the first time. Additionally, players who have previously purchased the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions can upgrade to the current-gen version for free.
While the Creepy Jar team is excited to bring Green Hell to current-gen consoles, last-generation consoles will no longer receive updates as the developer focuses on the current-gen and beyond. Simply put, the last-gen consoles cannot handle the weight of the newer updates while maintaining the quality that Creepy Jar aims to deliver to players.
Due to the differences in content between the current and last-gen console versions, neither the Xbox Series X|S nor the PlayStation 5 versions will be compatible with their previous-generation counterparts. Additionally, there will be no crossplay between versions and no save transfers from last-gen to current-gen.
The free upgrade offers an excellent opportunity for players who own the last-gen versions to enjoy the new features and improvements without having to purchase the game again. This ensures a smooth transition and enhanced experience on the current-gen consoles.
Players can prepare for the new release by updating their current versions and keeping an eye out for launch deals and discounts. Staying informed about the latest updates and news will ensure an optimal gaming experience.
With the launch of Green Hell on current-gen consoles, the game is set to deliver an enriched survival experience, offering new content and improved performance on the latest gaming platforms
