As the blessed month of Ramadan approaches, Jun’s, the award-winning restaurant renowned for its innovative cooking styles invites guests to immerse themselves in the spirit of Ramadan with a truly unforgettable Iftar experience. Recently ranked 7th on the MENA 50 Best list, Jun's celebrates the unique perspective and creativity that comes from straddling multiple cultural worlds, and is the perfect destination to enjoy Iftar with friends and family this year.
Throughout the month, guests are invited to indulge in a specially crafted Iftar menu, also featuring an array of vegetarian options. Each dish has been thoughtfully created to offer an authentic and unique blend of flavours, reflecting Jun’s signature third-culture twist. Whether breaking your fast with loved ones or enjoying an intimate gathering, the Iftar menu promises to satisfy every palate.
Begin the Iftar journey with the “It’s a Date” mocktail, a refreshing blend of dates, tonka, ginger ale, and green apple, accompanied by freshly served dates to honour the tradition of breaking the fast. Following this, enjoy a warming bowl of Corn Miso Dashi Soup before indulging in the Jun’s “Mezze” Platter, a shared selection of appetizing treats. Guests will savour delights like Smoked Eggplant Hummus, Heirloom Carrots, Za’atar Chaat, Potato Mozzarella Samosa, Lamb Kheema Laab, and Chili Chicken, while vegetarian options offer the same rich flavours with alternatives such as Vegetarian Kheema and Szechuan Green Beans.
For the main course, guests are invited to share family-style dishes, including Chicken Claypot Machboos, Lamb Shank Peranakan Curry, and Grilled Hammour with Loomi Aswad Beurre Blanc. Vegetarian options are equally enticing, with dishes like Local Mushroom Claypot Machboos, Eggplant Parmesan with Mapo Tomato Sauce, and Kung Pao Broccoli, Broccolini, and Tofu. Finishing the Iftar is a selection of decadent desserts, such as Luqaimat with Sea Salt Caramel Mousse and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, the delicate Kunafa with Pistachio Matcha Mousse, Nabulsi Cheese, and Rose Water, or a Spiced Black Tea – a sweet end to a beautiful meal.
