Highfield Boats has proudly announced the production of its brand new Highfield EJET330 electric jet tender. This announcement follows last year's revelation of a ground-breaking prototype, marking a significant advancement in electric boating.
The EJET330 is designed as a compact tender that can be easily stowed in the garage of most large yachts over 55ft. Its instant power makes it incredibly responsive and enjoyable to maneuver. One of its key benefits is the quiet and smooth operation, emphasizing its environmental friendliness. The EJET330 can be used in very shallow depths, skimming over the water's surface to minimize impact on fragile ecosystems. It is also safe around swimmers and can be easily beached.
Powered by an electric jet propulsion system developed by ZeroJet, a New Zealand-based specialist in electric jet systems, the EJET330 represents a successful collaboration between Highfield and ZeroJet. This partnership has resulted in a boat that combines Highfield's performance and strength with ZeroJet's efficient and powerful electric system.
The EJET330 measures 3.36 meters in length, 1.82 meters in width, and features a 15˚ deadrise. It weighs just 320kg, including the battery, FCT console wheel steering, and system. It comes equipped with a 10.8kWh battery and 20kW of power, equivalent to 25hp. The boat planes at speeds upwards of 11 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots. The super-safe Lithium Iron Phosphate 48V-10A low voltage battery can run for up to 7 hours, with charging times as little as 2.5 hours depending on the charger output. Electric jet boating offers silent operation with no fuel odor.
Available in four color options, the Highfield EJET330 is designed to look good while being functional. The robust Highfield alloy hull, capable of carrying up to five passengers, features Hypalon tubes, upholstery, and deck tread. The boat includes ample internal storage, including a bow locker, and efficient deck space due to the integrated under-deck battery design and compact jet unit.
The EJET330 is easy to drive, even for inexperienced users, and can turn 360 degrees on the spot. Its swim deck and ladder make it ideal for watersports and towing toys. The boat features standard amenities like an LCD display, electronic throttle, wheel and steering system, flush mount non-return valves, integrated transom supports, removable set lifting points and towing eyes, and tow bridle points.
Mathilde Delfour, Highfield's European Managing Director, commented on the development: "The Highfield EJET330 is a result of many months of development combining Highfield's boat building experience with ZeroJet's electric jet propulsion, which was recognized with a DAME Award at METS 2023. We are proud to offer our very first electric jet tender and extend our range for new and fun types of boating!"
