The launch moment

The launch moment

Construction on Project Tanzanite started in 2020, making her journey a five-year build. Initially transported from Damen Shipyards Galati in Romania to Vlissingen in 2023, the yacht marked her first public reveal then. Now, following her official launch in September 2025, she stands as the largest yacht in the Amels fleet and a true representation of full-custom engineering.

Design and collaboration

The yacht features an exterior by Espen Øino International, paired with naval architecture by Damen Yachting. With five expansive decks, sleek lines, and an elegant white hull complemented by tinted windows, she embodies both sophistication and strength. Project Tanzanite is the largest collaboration between Amels and Espen Øino to date, and it firmly cements the vessel as the flagship of the brand.

Boasting an internal volume of 6,083 GT, the yacht is designed to host up to 22 guests with accommodation for 44 crew members. Inside, guests will discover a marble staircase winding around a private elevator, airy saloons with high ceilings, and neutral-toned furnishings. Outdoor living has been emphasized with spaces for alfresco dining and sunbathing on wide, cream-colored lounges. Over the next year, more than 1,000 craftsmen and global suppliers will finalize these intricate details.

Performance and power

Project Tanzanite combines elegance with engineering prowess. Powered by four variable speed generators and twin diesel-electric azipods, she reaches a top speed of 18 knots.
