The Embraer Praetor 600, a Brazilian-manufactured super-mid-sized private jet, is known for its enhanced range and luxurious features. Flight testing for the Praetor 600 began in March 2018 and concluded in October of the same year. The aircraft clocked 300 hours across three prototypes before it was introduced in October 2018. The model received certification from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency in April 2019, followed by approvals from the FAA and EASA in May 2019. The first delivery to a European customer occurred shortly after in June.
With a range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,440 km or 4,620 miles), the Praetor 600 can easily connect major global cities. This range is achievable with four passengers and NBAA Instrument Flight Rules reserves, making it suitable for long-haul routes such as New York to London or Dubai to Paris. With a maximum speed of Mach 0.83, it delivers speed and efficiency while maintaining comfort.
The Praetor 600 boasts a sleek low-wing, T-tail design with two rear-mounted turbofan engines, delivering high performance. Its Honeywell HTF7500E engines produce 7,528 pounds of thrust, enabling a cruise speed of 446 knots and a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet. Its advanced flight deck, equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics, offers predictive windshear detection and Synthetic Vision System for safer and smoother flights.
The Praetor 600 offers a luxurious cabin with a 6-foot tall stand-up space, seating 8 to 12 passengers. The flat-floor cabin ensures ample space, while reclining seats, Ka-band Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped refreshment center elevate the in-flight experience. Passengers can enjoy fully adjustable lighting, sound, and temperature settings controlled via the Honeywell Ovation Select Cabin Management System, making long journeys comfortable and enjoyable.
The Praetor 600 competes with models like the Bombardier Challenger 350 and Gulfstream 280, but distinguishes itself with its superior range, advanced technology, and competitive price. Since its debut in 2019, over 90 units have been delivered, solidifying its place as a top contender in the super-mid-sized jet market. With a price tag of $21.995 million, it offers excellent value for its performance and luxurious features.
