Taking place on 1st and 2nd August 2026, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and organised and presented by Speedy Comics, the free-entry community event brings together a colourful mix of culture, contemporary pop culture, gaming, food, creativity and family entertainment under one roof. Celebrate Japan has been designed as an inclusive weekend experience for everyone, whether visitors are deep into manga and anime, building their trading card collection, dressing up for the day, supporting young makers, or simply looking for something different to enjoy with the family.

At Times Square Center, Celebrate Japan unfolds like a lively journey through different corners of Japanese-inspired creativity. Visitors can move from interactive cultural experiences and creative workshops to themed demonstrations, educational activities, performances, gaming tables, marketplace finds, and stage moments throughout the weekend. The event celebrates the many things people connect with when they think of Japan today, from heritage and craftsmanship to character culture, collectables, food, fashion and community fandom.

The marketplace will bring together artists, creators, community exhibitors, independent businesses, and specialty vendors, giving visitors the chance to discover Japanese-inspired products, stationery, artwork, handmade crafts, fashion, collectables and hobby-related finds. It is a space made for browsing and meeting the people behind the ideas, with local creators and small businesses adding their own personality to the weekend.

For trading card game players and collectors, the event will include a dedicated community area where fans can buy, sell, trade, play and connect. From casual gameplay and beginner-friendly Learn-to-Play sessions to organised tournaments and card grading education, the space is designed to welcome both experienced players and first-timers. Prizes, and promotional items may also be awarded where applicable.

Young creativity will also have its moment through the BIZ KIDZ youth entrepreneur showcase, where children and teens can present handmade products, creative projects and business ideas. The initiative gives young participants a platform to build confidence, express their ideas and experience the excitement of sharing their work with the community.

Families will enjoy stage entertainment, interactive games, costume competitions, and themed dress-up moments that celebrate creativity and character design. Japanese-inspired food and beverage vendors will also be part of the weekend, adding another flavourful stop to the experience.
