What happens when the design philosophy behind some of the most recognizable Italian cars moves into luxury architecture? Pininfarina, known for its historic connection with Ferrari models including the Testarossa, has partnered with MV Group USA to create an ultra-limited collection of American homes designed around the owners prized cars.
Placing the automobile collection at the heart of the architecture, each residence replaces the traditional hidden garage with a glass-fronted automotive gallery. Only six private homes are planned across the United States, with each priced at $16.95 million.
Accommodating up to five cars, the gallery includes an integrated vehicle turntable and two single-post lifts. Extending the visual connection even further, the design allows owners to see their collection from the home gym, effectively displaying the cars like pieces of art.
Bringing decades of Italian design expertise into residential architecture, Pininfarina approaches the project with the same emphasis on form, detail, and visual impact associated with its automotive heritage. Spanning more than 8,000 square feet, each fully furnished residence combines luxury living with a clear passion for cars.
Offering greater freedom to owners, the concept is not tied to a single residential development. Instead, each home can be constructed on an approved private lot anywhere in the United States. Adding another exclusive element, buyers also receive a private Pininfarina design experience in Italy as part of the project.
Moving beyond its traditional role as a storage space, the garage becomes one of the defining features of these residences. For collectors who have spent years building valuable collections of classic or high-performance cars, the concept offers a way to enjoy them even when they are not being driven.
Combining glass walls, display equipment, and carefully planned sightlines, the automotive gallery creates an experience closer to a private showroom than a conventional garage. Ultimately, the collaboration between Pininfarina and MV Group USA reverses the usual approach to luxury living: instead of finding space for the cars after designing the home, the architecture begins with the collection itself.
Started my career in Automotive Journalism in 2015. Even though I'm a pharmacist, hanging around cars all the time has created a passion for the automotive industry since day 1.
