Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier, that flies to more countries than any other in the world, arrived in Dubai with the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup on 6th November. Local high-profile figures and members of the business community attended the event.
Since its inception in 2013, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has brought together over 10,000 players who compete against one another in more than 130 tournaments in 83 countries worldwide.
The event in Dubai was the 121st of 122 tournaments in this year’s Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup. Local champions from each tournament will compete in the Grand Finals in Türkiye later this year. From a global total of 122, winners will attend the Grand Finals and have the opportunity to play at the Gloria Golf Club and stay at the Gloria Serenity Resort on the stunning Turkish Golf Coast.
Turkish Airlines General Manager in Dubai, Bilal Doner said: “We thank all of our guests who made the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup here in Dubai a huge success. Once again, it was a thrilling tournament in the TAWGC series, and we are happy to host one of the largest corporate golf tournaments in 130 destinations this year. Congratulations to our winner, Sultan Qazi. We wish him the best of luck in Türkiye.”
Representing Dubai, Sultan Qazi secured their champion position with 47 points, and Mujahid Siddiqui was runner-up, while Shoab Khan came third. The Closest to the Pin competition was won by Aaron Smith for the men and Maura Duggan for the women. The Gross award was won by Niranj Sangal with a score of 37 points.
