Adidas has unveiled the Kakari RS, a groundbreaking rugby boot designed specifically for front five forwards. This boot maintains the essential stability required for pushing scrums and driving mauls while incorporating a lightweight frame that enhances speed and agility.
The Kakari RS addresses the evolving role of forwards in the modern game, where their responsibilities extend beyond set pieces to include active participation in open play. This boot offers a balance of durability and lightness, making it ideal for dynamic movements in all directions.
The boot features a one-piece soleplate construction, which provides flexibility, strength, and foot stability while reducing overall weight. Additionally, the forward-specific eight-stud tooling system ensures optimal traction, allowing players to perform at their best during crucial moments.
The Kakari RS will be worn by some of the world’s top rugby players, including Scott Barrett, Tadhg Furlong, Eben Etzebeth, and Kyle Sinckler. These endorsements highlight the boot’s suitability for elite-level play and its acceptance among professional athletes.
The Kakari RS is available in two colorways: a black and silver version for all New Zealand Rugby teams and a blue model with gold detailing. The boot comes in three models: the Kakari RS at €220, the Kakari Elite at €130, and the Kakari at €90, all available in unisex sizing (4-14).
The Kakari RS launches on July 15, 2024, providing rugby players with a state-of-the-art boot that combines technical performance with modern design, supporting the needs of rugby players across all positions and skill levels.
