Adidas, in collaboration with basketball star Damian Lillard, has unveiled the Dame 9, the latest addition to the Dame signature shoe line. This release marks the lightest Dame shoe to date, designed to meet the demands of athletes who are always on the move. The Dame 9 also features a unique collaboration with the iconic Japanese brand BAPE®, merging high-performance sportswear with bold, stylish aesthetics.
The Dame 9 is designed to be the lightest shoe in the Dame series, weighing just 14.5 ounces. The shoe incorporates Lightstrike technology, offering lightweight and zoned cushioning that protects the foot while reducing overall weight, enhancing mobility and agility on the court. The outsole features a multi-directional pattern that provides superior grip and comfort, allowing athletes to move swiftly and confidently.
The collaboration with BAPE® brings a distinct fashion-forward element to the Dame 9, with the shoe available in two iconic colorways. One features a green upper with gold accents, a black midsole, and BAPE®’s signature ABC CAMO, while the other sports a red upper with similar design elements. A third, exclusive friends-and-family edition boasts a USA-inspired colorway. Each pair comes with custom co-branded sock liners, alternate laces, and is packaged in a special co-branded box, blending high fashion with athletic performance.
The collection extends beyond footwear to include a range of apparel. Highlighted pieces include a reversible mesh black SOLID CAMO jersey with the Dame logo on one side and BAPE®’s iconic college graphic on the other, matching shorts, co-branded socks, and a special edition Damian Lillard BABY MILO® t-shirt.
