As the sun set over the Dubai Frame on Sunday evening, thousands of participants came together for the inaugural Dubai Yoga, creating a powerful collective moment of mindfulness and movement that brought Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2025 to a truly unforgettable close.
The historic new flagship event marked a watershed moment for DFC, introducing yoga to the Challenge's lineup of mass-participation experiences. Set within Zabeel Park, participants of all ages and abilities flowed side by side on provided mats – from first-time yogis discovering the practice to seasoned practitioners – embodying the 'Find Your Challenge' spirit that has defined this ninth edition.
Renowned yoga instructors Dylan Werner, Sarah Medina, and Yash Moradiya guided participants through poses and breathing techniques that reinforced the profound connection between physical movement and mental wellbeing, demonstrating that fitness encompasses not just physical strength and endurance, but also balance, mindfulness, and inner peace.
Supporting them were Emirati yoga instructor Jamila Al Ansari and over 40 local yoga instructors positioned across 20 platform stages, demonstrating each sequence with precision. In the Family Zone, Carla Julian led a joyful session supported by Praanvi Gupta, recognised as the world's youngest yoga instructor and a student at GEMS Wellington International School.
Dubai Yoga was organised by Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Sports Council; with Media Partner Arabian Radio Network (ARN); and Government Partners Dubai Municipality, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, KHDA, Dubai Police, Ministry of Education, the Event Security Committee, and Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
