In collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, Ski Dubai announced the winners of the 16th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, which took place yesterday. Dubai’s coolest obstacle course brought together 560 athletes aged 15-60 from 69 nationalities, including 194 Emiratis, with participants from seasoned competitors to first-timers – all of whom bravely took on 28 obstacles, testing their mental and physical limits in sub-zero temperatures.
In the Elite Category, Hallvard Borsheim led the Top 3 Elite Male Winners with a finish time of (00:31:02), followed by Alisher Nazarov (00:36:29) and Rich Zielinski (00:37:33), while Michala Radomska topped the Top 3 Elite Female Winners at (00:56:04), with Forough Shakiba close behind at (01:13:52). In the Individual Category, Teo Zampa and Hilda Allin emerged as the overall 1st place male and female winners with finish times of (00:18:35) and (00:27:44) respectively, followed by Yeison Londono Franco (00:22:06) and Natalie Mysheva (00:39:29), while Shiva Shahi and Nada Omar completed the Top 3 at (00:22:50) and (00:40:37). For the Team Category, the overall winners were the Carrefour Mall of the Emirates team at (00:29:09), with Gambit Communications second at (00:31:23) and Kebab Power third at (00:33:00). Since its launch in 2010, the Ice Warrior Challenge has become a popular sporting event attracting elite athletes from around the world as well as locals and expats of varying fitness levels. Ski Dubai and Dubai Sports Council regularly collaborate to deliver unique events that enhance community wellbeing, encourage active lifestyles, and make snow sports accessible to all.
