Riyadh hosted a groundbreaking sporting event as LIV Golf returned to Saudi Arabia, bringing an entirely new concept to the game. From February 6 to 8, 2025, the Riyadh Golf Club welcomed top international players for an unforgettable night golf tournament. This marked the first-ever nighttime edition of LIV Golf, offering fans a visually striking and exhilarating experience under the floodlights.
For the first time in LIV Golf history, the tournament was played under floodlights, transforming the traditional golf experience into a stunning nighttime spectacle. Each day’s competition began at 6:15 PM Saudi time, allowing fans to witness the game in an entirely new light. The illuminated greens, combined with the vibrant atmosphere of Riyadh, made for a visually captivating and immersive sporting event.
The event featured 13 elite teams, with world-class players including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson. Competing over 54 holes in a no-cut format, the golfers delivered high-intensity performances throughout the weekend. The competition remained fierce until the final round, keeping fans on the edge of their seats and adding to the thrill and excitement of the tournament.
Beyond the on-course action, LIV Golf ensured a luxurious and engaging experience for attendees. Exclusive hospitality packages such as the Club 54 VIP experience provided guests with premium seating overlooking the 18th hole, gourmet dining options, and a curated selection of beverages. The event also featured live music and entertainment, creating a dynamic festival-like environment that redefined the traditional golf experience.
By hosting LIV Golf, Riyadh reinforced its reputation as a leading sports hub in the region. The city has already made a name for itself by organizing major boxing, motorsports, and combat sports events. This tournament further highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the sport, positioning Riyadh as a must-visit destination for international golf enthusiasts.
Following the Riyadh leg, the LIV Golf tour moved to Adelaide, Australia, from February 14 to 16, 2025, and then to Hong Kong from March 7 to 9, 2025. This expansion reflects LIV Golf’s global reach, attracting new audiences and reshaping the way professional golf tournaments are experienced worldwide.
