Ten years ago, on April 14th, 2014, Ludwig Oechslin published a richly illustrated, concise text on the concept, technique, and production of the Ochs und Junior Ecopell leather pouches on the blog. These pouches were designed by Margareta Theiler at his request and were manufactured by her for several years. Today, Sabina Brägger, who also crafts the watch straps, makes these pouches.
The round shape of the leather pouch corresponds to the round shape of the watch dial. The watch is inserted into the pouch with the dial facing outward. The cover is then closed to protect the watch with the vertical flap, followed by the left and right flaps (or right and left).
In 2014, the Ochs und Junior leather pouches had already been in use for several years. They were first presented at the Wagenmoos event, where the brand's first two watches, the Anno50 and the Settimana Junior, along with the company philosophy, were introduced.
Today, the tradition of making these leather pouches is carried on by Sabina Brägger. Her craftsmanship ensures that each pouch remains a symbol of the brand's dedication to quality and innovation.
