Swiss luxury watchmaker Patek Philippe has unveiled its first new collection in 25 years, the Cubitus line. Released at a time when luxury watch prices have stabilized amid high demand, this new series reflects a sophisticated yet sporty aesthetic, aiming to attract both new and seasoned collectors. This collection includes three models, each distinct in materials, design, and technology, reinforcing Patek Philippe’s position as a leader in the world of fine watches.
The Cubitus collection represents a reinterpretation of the “elegant sporty” style that Patek Philippe is renowned for. This lineup includes three models: two crafted in steel and one in platinum. The steel models feature colorful faces, with one model showcasing a two-tone look with rose gold to create a vintage-inspired style. Meanwhile, the platinum model offers a distinctive face design, featuring a large-format date, moon phase tracking, and a weekday display. This variety allows the collection to cater to diverse tastes, providing options for those who appreciate both sporty and classic designs.
Patek Philippe has integrated cutting-edge technology within the Cubitus collection, enhancing the functionality and precision of each model. The watches feature an ultrathin, self-winding mini rotor and an instantaneous-jump mechanism that ensures precise alignment of different displays within 18 milliseconds. This high-tech innovation is backed by six patent applications, underscoring Patek Philippe's commitment to technological advancement and reliability.
In addition to the watches, Patek Philippe has introduced a series of cufflinks designed to complement the Cubitus collection.
