Created in 2017 by Chairman and investor, Ron Burkle, The Ned originated in London in the former Midland Bank headquarters, designed by Sir Edwin 'Ned' Lutyens in 1924. The space includes a private members’ club, Ned’s Club, and a private events floor, alongside ten restaurants open to the public and 250 bedrooms.
The Ned expanded in 2022 to include The Ned NoMad in New York and The Ned Doha in Qatar, and more recently Washington DC opened in January 2025. Every property is slightly different depending on its location with each building having its own architectural significance and history in that region, but the ethos of The Ned remains the same; to create a space for like-minded professionals to meet, work and have a good time.
Ned’s Club membership gives access to dedicated spaces such as members-only bars, restaurants and rooftop spaces. The membership team curates a program of monthly events, ranging from talks with thought leaders to curated masterclasses and invitations to offsite sporting and cultural events.
