Christmas Brunch  

A culinary highlight, the Christmas Brunch at Saltz (15 GaultMillau points), presents a magnificent spread fit for royalty, a festive experience that truly showcases Zurich’s indulgent side. Bubbly accompanies a delectable selection of seasonal starters and refined desserts, while live cooking stations take centre stage and warm dishes are served directly to the table.  

Krug Chalet 

At the Krug Chalet winter pop-up, Swiss traditions meet French grape signatures. The cosy Alpine Chalet on Saltz restaurant’s terrace is thoughtfully designed with wood, soft lighting and bespoke furnishings that create the atmosphere of a classic winter retreat, coupled with refined food and impeccable service. Heiko Nieder and Maître Fromager Rolf Beeler serve a specially created Fondue with delicious side dishes alongside a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée in the most stunning setting.  

The Grand Afternoon Tea 

The Grand Afternoon Tea is served in the Dolder Grand’s historic Lobby. Here, British tea culture meets the refinement of Swiss hospitality in a ritual first introduced by the Duchess of Bedford in 1840. The finest teas, delicate sandwiches, warm scones and exquisite pastries are served as part of this tradition; guests can choose between classic or vegetarian options, and elevate the moment even more with oysters, caviar and bubbles. 

Festive Me Up! 

The Dolder Grand’s expert Concierge team curates personalised stays throughout the year, but the festive season offers endless possibilities to enjoy the season at the hotel and its enchanting surroundings. From 22 to 28 December 2026, the Festive Me Up! offer includes a stay of two nights or more complete with breakfast,  

CHF 200 in spa credit or a restaurant voucher, unlimited access to the Dolder Grand Spa and complimentary guest cars. 

New Year’s Eve  

Guests can ring in 2027 at the Dolder Grand with an exceptional choice of New Year’s Eve celebrations – from an eight-course gourmet dinner at 2 Michelin starred ‘The Restaurant’ to a four-course menu at the Garden Salon, or a lively evening at Saltz or the winter pop-up. The evening will feature live music, dancing and disco balls, bubbly and snacks at midnight with breathtaking views of Zurich’s illuminated skyline, followed by a New Year’s brunch on 1 January 2027. Packages are available for stays of two nights or more and include breakfast and Spa access.

CHARLES KAISIN – POETIC FORMS AND ART AT THE DOLDER GRAND 

Charles Kaisin’s festive installations enter into dialogue with the hotel’s existing art collection. Since the Dolder Grand reopened in 2008, over 100 works by internationally renowned artists have graced its lobby, hallways and public spaces. During the Christmas season, guests can take a tour through the hotel to discover selected works, including pieces by Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Keith Haring, Ferdinand Hodler and Jani Leinonen among others. 

Charles Kaisin is known for conceptual works that transform everyday elements into precise, poetic forms. At the Dolder Grand Spa, his installation once again takes the shape of a contemporary Christmas tree: 1,200 hand-folded golden origami doves create a suspended composition of light, movement and symbolism. 

“For the Spa at the Dolder Grand in Zurich, golden doves rise to form a contemporary Christmas tree. Suspended from the ceiling, it comes to life with the slightest breath of air or the footsteps of a guest – a delicate shimmer sets it in motion, like a softly murmuring flock. Hand-folded origami doves form an image of peace. The gold of the birds represents thoughts, dreams and plans taking shape in the new year – a symbol of infinite creative potential. Suspended from red threads, the installation brings strength and joy to the festive season,” said Kaisin. 

A new work by Charles Kaisin will be installed in the Canvas Bar. Birds created using the Japanese art of paper folding form a spiral-shaped Christmas tree on a mirrored base, spanning the height of the room and bringing a peaceful, festive movement to the hotel’s vibrant meeting point.
