The artistic highlight this year is a poetic installation by Belgian designer Charles Kaisin: 1,200 golden origami doves form a floating Christmas tree in the spa – a symbol of peace, lightness and creative renewal.

This festive season, Charles Kaisin enriches the hotel with his distinctive creative vision – known for conceptual works that balance poetry, precision and contemporary form. His creations often stem from the idea of transformation: turning the ordinary into surprising and multi-layered aesthetic expressions. Kaisin has transformed the Dolder Grand Spa into a suspended composition of light, form and symbolism, with 1,200 golden origami doves tracing the silhouette of a contemporary Christmas tree.

The Grand Afternoon Tea
When the Duchess of Bedford introduced Afternoon Tea in 1840, she could hardly have imagined it would become such a timeless ritual. At the Dolder Grand, tea culture is reimagined: fine teas, scones, sandwiches and pâtisserie by Katrin Wagenblast are served in an elegant setting – complemented by oysters, caviar or champagne for an extra touch of indulgence.
Krug Chalet – “Fondue pop-up”
Michelin-starred chef Heiko Nieder and Maître Fromager Rolf Beeler serve their specially created fondue, accompanied by a selection of side dishes and a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée – a festive classic in Zurich.
The Grand Heritage
The art déco pop-up returns this Winter. Michelin-starred chef Heiko Nieder invites guests on an extraordinary culinary journey through time, where classic traditions meet the refinement of modern cuisine. Inspired by Auguste Escoffier, the creator of Grande Cuisine, the experience spans the eras from classic lobster thermidor to a contemporary interpretation of the Tournedos Rossini.
Festive décor galore
With this year’s Christmas décor, the Dolder Grand’s floral design team once again sets aesthetic accents – with concepts that embrace and reinterpret the character of each space. The Steinhalle features a striking six-metre-high Christmas tree, this year decorated with 3,500 bordeaux-red spheres. In the Canvas Bar & Lounge, Christmas ornaments surround the stone fireplace, while a Christmas tree adorned with lights and orange accents reflect the radiant and warm energy of the hotel.
