Dubai Opera marks its 10th anniversary with a new chapter of live entertainment and culture. After welcoming more than 1.5 million visitors since 2016, the iconic Dubai venue enters its 2026–2027 season with a diverse programme spanning opera, ballet, music, theatre and comedy.
Celebrates Dubai Opera a decade since opening its doors on August 31, 2016, after presenting more than 2,500 performances and welcoming over 6,500 artists from around the world.
Marks the milestone the special Decade of Memories concert on September 12, 2026, featuring soprano Fatma Said alongside the UAE National Orchestra, conducted by Ahmed Farag, as well as the Festival Chorus and guests from the worlds of opera and dance.
Brings the evening together international and Arab musical influences, with works associated with Verdi, Puccini and Bizet alongside fresh interpretations of songs by Fairuz, Mohammed Abdel Wahab and Dalida. Extended the anniversary celebrations to Burj Khalifa, which hosted a special display on August 31.
Opens the season with a varied calendar of international performances, including The Marriage of Figaro by the Ukrainian National Ballet from September 17 to 19. Continues October with God Save the Queen, Lebanese artist Marilyn Naaman and the seventh edition of Dubai Comedy Festival.
Welcomes November the return of Trevor Noah for two shows, followed by a musical collaboration between Hiba Tawaji and Ibrahim Maalouf. Brings December another major highlight with the Bolshoi Theatre’s first official UAE tour, featuring The Tsar’s Bride, a symphonic concert and The Nutcracker.
Continues the programme into January 2027 with pianist and composer Tony Ann, followed by Swan Lake on Ice, which reimagines Tchaikovsky’s classic through theatrical ice skating.
Begins Dubai Opera its second decade with an ambition to continue connecting Dubai with international artists, productions and audiences. Builds the 2026–2027 programme on a mix of classical and contemporary music, ballet, opera, theatre and comedy, creating options for different tastes throughout the season.
Reflects the anniversary more than a celebration of past milestones, as it signals the beginning of another chapter for one of Dubai’s leading live entertainment destinations. Continues the venue to bring cultures and creative talent together while expanding the variety of experiences available to audiences in the city.
