Nolinski Venezia is delighted to announce an exceptional collaboration with Galerie Perrotin, one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries, on the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia 2026.
From 4 May to 13 September 2026, Nolinski Venezia will host a curated selection of contemporary artworks on loan from Galerie Perrotin throughout the hotel, transforming its corridors and shared spaces into an immersive artistic journey in the heart of Venice.
La Biennale di Venezia is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious cultural and artistic events. Founded in 1895, the Biennale takes place every two years and brings together leading artists, architects, curators and cultural institutions from around the globe, transforming Venice into an international centre for contemporary art and cultural dialogue.
Founded in Paris in 1990 by Emmanuel Perrotin, Galerie Perrotin is recognised as one of the most influential contemporary art galleries on the international art scene, with spaces in Paris, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Dubai and London. The gallery is renowned for representing major contemporary artists and for its participation in leading international art fairs and exhibitions.
This collaboration offers guests and visitors a rare opportunity to experience contemporary art beyond the traditional setting of museums and galleries, within an atmosphere that combines luxury, intimacy and cultural refinement. The project also reflects a shared vision between Nolinski Venezia and Galerie Perrotin to make art accessible and seamlessly integrated into everyday life through a contemporary hospitality experience.
Located in the heart of historic Venice, Nolinski Venezia provides an ideal setting for a dialogue between historic architecture and contemporary creation. Throughout the Biennale period, six major works by internationally renowned artists represented by Galerie Perrotin will be exhibited across the hotel, from the entrance through to the third floor.
On the ground floor, Franco-Swiss artist Julian Charrière presents “Veils | Xestospongia Testudinaria (2025)”, a photolithograph inspired by coral reefs, fossilised marine strata and climate change. Known for his multidisciplinary practice, Charrière explores the relationship between nature, geological memory and environmental transformation.
On the first floor, Czech-Swedish artist Klara Kristalova showcases “Orchid (2024)”, a watercolour and ink work on paper exploring dreamlike imagination, transformation and emotional depth through her distinctive poetic visual language.
South Korean artist Shim Moon-Seup presents “The Presentation (2017)” on the second floor, an acrylic-on-canvas work inspired by the sea and natural cycles of creation and destruction, reflecting his pioneering contribution to modern Korean art.
In the third-floor lobby, renowned French conceptual artist Sophie Calle exhibits “The Sleepers -Raphaël Brossard (1980)”, a photographic and textual work exploring intimacy, observation and the boundaries between private and public life.
Also on the third floor, German artist Hans Hartung presents “T1975-H34 (1975)”, a monumental abstract painting that reflects his signature dynamic visual language and his major contribution to twentieth-century European abstract art.
Completing the presentation is American artist Daniel Arsham with “Selenite Eroded Head of Victorious Athlete (2022)”, a sculpture inspired by classical antiquity and Arsham’s concept of fictional archaeology, in which historical forms appear as archaeological discoveries from the future.
Through this collaboration, Nolinski Venezia continues to reinforce its position as a destination where hospitality, culture and contemporary art converge, offering Venice Biennale visitors an exceptional artistic experience in one of the world’s most inspiring cities.
