Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other in the world, has resumed its flights to Aleppo, which were suspended as of April 2012. Following the launch of flights to Damascus in January 2025, with the addition of Aleppo flights, the number of destinations that Turkish Airlines serves in Syria has increased to two.
Turkish Airlines will operate round-trip flights between Istanbul Airport and Aleppo International Airport three days a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays as of August 1, 2025. Starting on August 19, Aleppo flights will be operated 5 times per week, and beginning September 1, they will be operated daily.
Commenting on the Aleppo flights, Turkish Airlines SVP Sales (Region II) Mahmut Yayla said: “Aleppo is one of the most important cities in the region with its historical and cultural richness. With the reopening of our Aleppo route, we aim to strengthen economic and social ties between the two countries. As Turkish Airlines, we continue to increase our flight connections while offering our guests more travel options.”
Turkish Airlines is offering travel opportunities on İstanbul – Aleppo-İstanbul route starting from 299 USD with ticket purchases made as of July 25, 2025. Prices are valid on Turkish Airlines’ website and may vary at sales offices and agencies.
