The Governor of Indiana recently received an exclusive gift at the Indianapolis 500: a one-off 1:8 scale model, crafted by the artisans of Amalgam Collection. Presented to Governor Eric Holcomb by Roger Penske, owner of INDYCAR, this exceptional gift features a livery designed by the INDYCAR design team to celebrate the state of Indiana and its 51st governor. The model replicates the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Dallara IR-12 chassis with Dallara IR-18 aero kit in its oval track configuration.
The development of this unique 1:8 scale model took over 2500 hours and concluded only when the INDYCAR team was satisfied with its accuracy. The final build required over 250 hours to cast, fit, paint, and assemble. The model features Indiana’s blue and yellow livery, referencing the 107-year-old state flag, the state’s flaming torch, and nineteen stars logo. Additional Indiana-specific touches include the Seal of Indiana, the state motto "Crossroads of America," "The Hoosier State" on the rear, and “Indiana for the Bold” ahead of the rear wheels. The car sports the number 51 and Governor Eric Holcomb’s name, fitted with black-wall Firestone Firehawk tires and various logos from NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Firestone, Chevrolet, and Dallara. A dedicated title plate with a personal message from Roger Penske completes the presentation.
