Building on the success of the award-winning anthology, The Terror: Devil in Silver marks the franchise’s first contemporary story, delivering a suspense-filled journey that blends psychological horror, mystery, and thriller elements. Adapted from Victor LaValle’s acclaimed novel The Devil in Silver, the series follows Pepper (portrayed by Dan Stevens), a hardworking mover whose life takes a terrifying turn when he is wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital. Trapped within an institution filled with forgotten souls, unsettling secrets, and unexplained horrors, Pepper finds himself fighting for his freedom while confronting forces far more disturbing than anyone imagines. 

As he navigates a world where nothing is as it seems, Pepper encounters patients who cannot be trusted, doctors hiding unsettling truths, and a mysterious presence that appears to thrive on the suffering of others.
