AN ODE TO CRAFTSMANSHIP AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN AN EPHEMERAL INSTALLATION: Henry Jacques tells its story while reflecting the elegance and sophistication of its host venue, transforming the lobby of Le Royal Monceau into a living space where each visitor is invited to move around a singular work of art, to contemplate it, and to interact with it. From each angle, the experience is given a new life, revealing new perspectives on both the sculpture and the space itself. Folia Vitae (“Leaves of Life”) is a sculptural work conceived by Christophe Tollemer, Artistic Director of the Maison, and Margot Cremona, set designer and daughter of Anne-Lise Cremona, CEO of the Maison. Designed to evoke the Maison’s spirit of Haute Parfumerie Vivante, the striking installation delicately marries nature with art. In Folia Vitae, the precision of craftsmanship meets an imaginative, almost fantastical vision: a circular tree measuring 140 cm in diameter, bearing perfumes. More than 1,000 plaster leaves and fruits, each meticulously cast from real plants, testify to the mastery of exceptional craftsmanship. By uniting a house of composition with a house of design, Henry Jacques embraces multiple crafts – perfumery, watchmaking, leatherwork, and high jewellery, and brings its Art-de-Vivre to life with such exacting standards that the Maison is often compared to Haute Couture.
