For their second participation at Abu Dhabi Art Fair, Ars Belga / Boghossian - Matthu is proud to present NATURE(S), an exhibition bringing together international artists who explore nature as subject, material, and force. Moving beyond the traditional landscape, the exhibition explores how the natural world surfaces as energy, emotion, and memory.
From Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato’s textured visions of Brazil to Salvo’s dreamlike Mediterranean scenes, nature becomes both intimate and imagined. In Chico da Silva’s luminous compositions, the artist shows fantastical creatures inspired by myth and memory, while Jaider Esbell’s paintings channel Indigenous cosmologies into living expressions of connection and resistance. Through their transformation of hanji paper, Korean artists Lee Jin Woo and Chun Kwang Young translate the materiality of nature into meditations on matter and structure.
Artworks by Hans Hartung, Takis, Lee Ufan, and Lee Dong-Youb translate elemental forces into gesture, magnetism, and material tension. Together, these artists invite us to see nature not as a setting, but as an active presence - one that shapes how we perceive, feel, and exist.
The presentation also includes remarkable design pieces from Popus Editions, extending the dialogue between art, nature and the living environment.
