Anime mania is taking over Manarat Al Saadiyat with the inaugural Animenia Abu Dhabi festival, set to take place from October 23rd to 27th. The festival will celebrate the whimsical world of anime, transporting anime fans into the vibrant world of Neo-Tokyo. Set against the stunning beachfront backdrop of Saadiyat Island, Animenia will celebrate the thriving anime fandom in the region with a stellar lineup of concerts, immersive anime experiences, diverse programming and so much more.
Live Entertainment
Animenia will feature non-stop entertainment, including Japanese shows, J-Pop concerts, and talk sessions. Fans can expect an impressive lineup of musical acts, including headliners Rasha Rizk, singer-songwriter and cartoon voice actress, who will take to the stage on October 25th, and legendary J-Pop band FLOW on the following day. They will be accompanied by Pop singer and songwriter Mojo and iconic band angela respectively.
Kicking off the festival on Wednesday, October 23rd, attendees can expect a performance from the legend herself, Yoko Takahashi, known for her hit song in Neon Genesis Evangelion. Additionally, Japanese songstress JUNNA will captivate audiences up until October 25th, while b-boy dance unit REAL AKIBA BOYZ will energise the crowd with their performances.
Joining the exciting lineup for the first time ever in the region are Powerglove, an American instrumental video game cover band, performing on Saturday 26th.All this will lead up to the festival’s grand finale on Sunday 27th, when anime-inspired rock bands Koyomi, Catch Me Yesterday, and Snowkel will put on an unforgettable closing show.

In addition to live performances, attendees can dive into their favourite anime worlds with immersive exhibits that bring iconic scenes to life. Anime lovers will meet fan-favourite characters like Naruto, Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan and Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen and Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen, while Sanrio lovers can get up close with Hello Kitty. Meanwhile, full-scale recreations and themed attractions will offer endless photo opportunities, making this festival a dream come true for anime enthusiasts.

Concert General Standing Admission tickets give anime and music lovers access to to the General standing zone at the concert as well as 1 day access to the Animenia Abu Dhabi festival grounds for AED 185 to ensure you're front and centre for all the action. Visitors can also opt for the DAY PASS Weekday or DAY PASS Weekend starting from AED 65 and a limited number of 5-Day Festival Passes at AED 425, all of which include access to festival grounds. Alternatively, guests can purchase the Meet & Greet Day Pass as an add on when purchasing their tickets for an additional AED 145.
