With the return of Dubai’s cooler season comes the reopening of one of the city’s most distinctive desert destinations, as Sonara Camp Dubai welcomes guests back to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve from 2 October 2026. Entering its eighth season, the destination sees the return of Sonara’s signature experiences alongside a refreshed approach to the guest journey, led by One Evening, One Night, a complete desert escape combining an evening at Sonara Camp with an overnight stay at The Nest by Nara.
The new season also sees the return of Sonara Camp’s signature Sunset & Dinner, Dinner and Sunset experiences, with refreshed menus and a renewed beverage programme. Guests can enjoy the camp’s signature desert activities and entertainment, including the sunset falcon show, live performances, fire tanoura, water-drum performers and the signature fire show.
Sunset & Dinner Experience
The evening begins at golden hour with guests making their own way into the reserve, either by car or by camel from the DDCR gate. At the Sunset Lounge, drinks and canapés are provided, following which guests can take part in a selection of desert activities, including a camel ride inside the camp, falcon show, sandboarding, soft archery and volleyball. The evening then moves into a plated signature menu, accompanied by live entertainment and the signature Sonara fire show.

The season's hero experience combines an evening of dining and entertainment at Sonara Camp Dubai with a night at The Nest by Nara. Guests check into The Nest by Nara from 4pm before taking a shuttle to Sonara Camp for the Sunset & Dinner Experience. Following the evening at camp, guests return to a private dune-shaped suite at The Nest for the night, with breakfast included the next morning.

Dinner Experience

UAE residents can make the most of the cooler season with the UAE Desert Break, which includes complimentary pick-up and drop-off from the same location within Dubai when booking the Sunset & Dinner Experience for groups of four to six guests.
