The Valen uses a 5.2 liter twin turbo V12 producing 850 PS, which is equivalent to around 838 hp, along with 1,000 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight speed ZF automatic transmission.

Aston Martin has recalibrated the gearbox using shift strategies developed through the Vantage GT4 racing program, resulting in faster and more responsive gear changes.

The Valen accelerates from zero to 100 kmh in around 3.1 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of roughly 344 kmh. Aston Martin quotes zero to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and a maximum speed of 214 mph.

Aston Martin has focused heavily on reducing mass, using carbon fiber, magnesium, aluminum and titanium throughout the car.

The entire exterior body is made from carbon fiber, while 21 inch magnesium wheels reduce unsprung mass. Titanium chassis hardware and lightweight suspension components further reduce weight.

Aston Martin says the Valen can save as much as 110 kilograms compared with its existing V12 platform when equipped with the relevant lightweight options.

The rear window has also been removed and replaced by a camera based rear visibility system, contributing to the cleaner and more dramatic rear design.

Sound plays a major role in the Valen experience. Aston Martin has developed a bespoke titanium exhaust system designed to make the V12 significantly more dramatic at normal road speeds.

The system is around 50 percent louder than the exhaust in the Vanquish and uses a distinctive 12 into 4 layout. Twelve titanium header pipes begin close to the engine before merging toward four exhaust outlets at the rear.

The engineers have also tuned the system to deliver its strongest acoustic character at relatively low engine speeds. This means the driver can experience much of the V12 soundtrack without needing to reach extreme speeds.

The Valen introduces a much more aggressive design language than Aston Martin normally uses for its front engined grand tourers.

Slim headlights, exposed aerodynamic elements and a highly sculpted rear create a more dramatic appearance. The launch car is finished in Satin Andromeda Red, a color that changes character depending on lighting conditions.

Inside, Aston Martin has created a more focused cockpit with lightweight seats, unique controls and extensive customization through Q by Aston Martin. Customers can select bespoke leather, trim and color combinations to make each example unique.

The cabin also includes several lightweight and advanced components, including 3D printed elements and carbon fiber details.

Aston Martin will produce only 150 examples of the Valen worldwide, making it one of the brand’s most exclusive modern production models. First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.

Aston Martin has not officially published a global list price in its launch announcement. However, reports from the Monterey reveal place the starting price at around 2 million dollars before bespoke options.

With 838 hp, a 344 kmh top speed, extensive weight reduction and one of the most dramatic V12 exhaust systems Aston Martin has produced, the Valen sits far beyond the role of a conventional grand tourer. It is a rare, highly focused flagship designed to showcase just how extreme a front engined Aston Martin can become.
