RTR Vehicles, founded by professional drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr., has taken the 2026 Ford Mustang to a new level with the Mustang RTR Spec 5, its most extreme production Mustang yet.

Combining a supercharged V8 engine, aggressive carbon fiber bodywork and a suspension system developed around real motorsport experience, the Spec 5 delivers an exciting combination of performance and exclusivity. Production is limited to just 50 examples for the 2026 model year in the United States.

Supercharged V8 Performance

Supercharged V8 Performance

The Mustang RTR Spec 5 starts with the familiar 5.0 liter V8 engine from the Mustang GT, but RTR transforms its performance with a 3.0 liter Whipple Stage 2 supercharger.

The result is more than 870 horsepower and 660 lb ft of torque, giving this Mustang even more power than the Ford Mustang GTD.

Buyers can choose between a six speed manual transmission and a ten speed automatic. A specially developed RTR by Borla active exhaust system adds an aggressive soundtrack that matches the extraordinary performance.

Motorsport Inspired Suspension and Handling

The Spec 5 is not simply a Mustang with additional horsepower. RTR has developed its Tactical Performance Suspension System to improve handling, stability and driver control.

The system features front coilovers and rear dampers with 30 adjustment settings, complemented by adjustable stabilizer bars at both ends. This allows drivers to fine tune the car for spirited road driving, circuit performance or controlled drifting.

Forged 20 inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires deliver additional grip, while upgraded Brembo brakes provide the stopping power needed for such a powerful machine.

The Mustang also retains its electronic drift brake, a feature developed with input from Vaughn Gittin Jr. that makes initiating controlled slides part of the driving experience.

Extreme Widebody Design

RTR has given the Spec 5 an extensive widebody transformation that makes it instantly recognizable.

Wider front and rear fenders create a more muscular stance, while integrated cooling vents improve airflow around the wheels. Exposed carbon fiber elements include the front splitter, side extensions and aerodynamic components.

The signature RTR grille with illuminated air intakes, distinctive rear spoiler and aggressive exterior graphics complete a design inspired by the world of professional drifting.

Every modification has been developed to deliver a combination of visual impact, aerodynamic functionality and motorsport character.

With such limited production, RTR offers extensive personalization options to help owners create a unique vehicle.

Customers can select from an expanded exterior color palette, premium paint finishes and a custom paint program. Distinctive finishes such as Mystichrome give buyers an opportunity to create an especially striking Mustang. Inside, the cabin features leather trimmed Recaro sport seats, RTR accessories and a numbered dashboard plaque carrying Vaughn Gittin Jr. signature.

These details reinforce the exclusivity of the Spec 5 while preserving the familiar driver focused atmosphere of the Mustang GT. The Mustang RTR Spec 5 starts at $159,999 in the United States, including the underlying Mustang GT with its Performance Package.

Production is limited to 50 examples for the 2026 model year in the US, placing the Spec 5 among the most exclusive modern Mustang conversions.

The vehicle also comes with a three year or 36,000 mile warranty, offering additional reassurance alongside its extensive performance modifications.

For enthusiasts seeking something beyond a conventional high performance Mustang, the RTR Spec 5 delivers an unusual combination of supercharged V8 power, serious chassis engineering and limited production appeal.

Its motorsport inspired personality makes it particularly attractive to collectors and drivers who value both performance and individuality. Interested buyers can contact RTR Vehicles or an authorized dealer to explore available build options and confirm remaining allocations.
