The S08 Luxury uses a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque. An eight speed automatic transmission sends power to a two wheel drive system.

Drivers can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport modes depending on the journey. The SUV also features Cloud Sense CDC active suspension, which can make up to 100 adjustments per second to improve ride quality and body control.

Comfort, Normal and Sport suspension settings allow drivers to further adjust the character of the car.

The S08 Luxury measures 4,810 mm in length and uses a 2,820 mm wheelbase, giving it enough room for three rows of seating and seven passengers.

Cargo capacity reaches up to 1,780 litres with the seats folded, making the SUV suitable for family trips, shopping and larger luggage.

The second row offers generous passenger space and electrically adjustable seats. One touch access makes reaching the third row easier, while powered folding functions improve flexibility when additional luggage room is needed.

A 15.6 inch central touchscreen forms the focus of the cabin and can swivel by up to 10 degrees. It works alongside a 10.25 inch digital instrument display and uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless phone charging, WiFi connectivity, voice controls and a 12 speaker audio system.

The front seats feature heating, ventilation and a 10 point massage function. Soueast also adds multi color ambient lighting, leather upholstery and a beige cabin theme.

Rear passengers benefit from electrically adjustable second row seats, a folding table and dedicated air vents. Solar control glass and an air filtration system are particularly useful during hot UAE summers.

The S08 Luxury features a wide horizontal grille with chrome style elements that extend toward vertically arranged LED lighting.

UAE buyers can choose from Starlit Black, Olive Gray, Snow White, Cosmic Silver and Midnight Blue.

Soueast equips the S08 Luxury with eight airbags and a Level 2 driver assistance package.

Key systems include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and traffic jam assistance.

A 360 degree camera and chassis view camera help with parking and tight spaces. The SUV also includes stability control, traction control, hill hold and hill descent control.

Soueast says that 85 percent of the body structure uses high strength steel, with claimed torsional rigidity of 25,000 Nm per degree.

The Soueast S08 Luxury starts from AED 99,900 as part of a special UAE launch offer.

The ownership package includes a warranty covering 10 years or 1 million kilometres, along with five years of roadside assistance and three years of free servicing.

The new model sits alongside the S08DM in the Soueast range. While the S08DM uses a plug in hybrid powertrain producing 355 hp and 530 Nm, the S08 Luxury offers a simpler petrol setup for buyers who do not want to charge their SUV.
