Among the very best examples of their type, the trio comprises the only 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV ever finished in Marrone Eklipsis; the only 2004 Ferrari Enzo to leave Maranello wearing Nero Opaco paint; and one of the most beautiful and significant Grand Prix cars of all time, the 1967 AAR Eagle Mk I Gurney-Weslake.

All three cars will be presented for display by Sealed for the duration of RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction, with online bidding for the Lamborghini Murciélago closing on Wednesday 26 August, and on Wednesday 30 September for the Ferrari Enzo and AAR Eagle.

The Nero Opaco Enzo

Among the most significant and collectible of all Ferrari’s hypercars, this 2004 Ferrari Enzo (Est: $POA) is the only example of its type to leave Maranello finished in Nero Opaco—or Matte Black—paintwork. The spectacular one-off machine was the product of a special request from a member of the Brunei Royal Family—a bespoke commission that would have been unthinkable to anyone outside of Ferrari’s most influential and valued clients.

Having spent many years hidden from public view as a crown jewel in one of the world’s largest and most significant Ferrari collections, the Nero Opaco Enzo only resurfaced in recent years, having covered a mere 5,763 kilometres since first leaving Maranello.

Only a handful of Ferrari Enzos were finished in unique specifications let alone unique colours, and of those, this example is without a doubt the most desirable. Visually arresting and truly contemporary, its public offering represents an unmissable opportunity for those seeking a true automotive unicorn.  

The Nero Opaco Enzo will be offered via Sealed Auction, with bidding opening on 28 September and closing on 30 September.

The Marrone Eklipsis Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV

Hailed as the most collectible Lamborghini of the modern era, this 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV (Est: $POA) is the best-specified example of the rarest, most powerful, and most celebrated iteration of Sant’Agata’s legendary hypercar.

The car is the only of its type to leave the factory finished in the historic shade of Ad Personam Marrone Eklipsis, further complemented by a two-tone Marrone Janus and Avorio Lilium interior and desirable LP640 seats. It is one of only five Murciélago LP 670-4 SVs fitted with a six-speed gated manual transmission and of only a handful to be equipped with the Low Drag Wing. Thought to be the last manual LP 670-4 SV to leave the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, it has the unique distinction of being the last manual V-12 Lamborghini.

Presented in immaculate condition and with just 7,906 kilometres on the odometer, The Marrone Eklipsis Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV is rightly considered to be the most important and iconic modern Lamborghini ever built.

1967 AAR Eagle Mk I Gurney-Weslake

Ranked among the most beautiful Formula 1 cars ever built, the 1967 AAR Eagle Mk I Gurney-Weslake (Est: $7,000,000 - $9,000,000) is one of the most significant American competition cars of all time and an icon of its era. As the only American-built Formula 1 design to ever win a race, the four chassis built have become some of the most sought-after historic grand prix cars in existence

Chassis 103 is the third of four AAR Eagle Mk Is built by Dan Gurney’s All-American Racers Inc. concern, and one of only three such chassis equipped with a 2,997-cc DOHC Gurney-Westlake V-12 engine, producing 390 bhp at 10,500 rpm. The car was driven in period by icons of the era including Dan Gurney, Richie Ginther, and Ludovico Scarfiotti, boasting a fascinating Grand Prix history that includes a 3rd-place finish at the 1967 Canadian Grand Prix.
