Kia has entered a new chapter in the UAE. Al Tayer Motors has been appointed the brand’s exclusive importer and distributor in the country, taking over from Juma Al Majid Group. Premier Motors, part of Al Tayer Motors, will represent Kia in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
The new partnership covers the complete Kia customer journey, including new car sales, servicing, spare parts, warranties and after sales support. It also places Kia within an extensive Al Tayer Motors automotive portfolio that already includes Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, VinFast, Deepal, Foton and Ford Trucks.
Al Tayer Motors will oversee Kia operations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Premier Motors will handle the brand’s sales and after sales operations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Established in 1982, Al Tayer Motors operates a growing network of sales, service and parts facilities across the UAE and employs more than 3,100 professionals.
The appointment gives Kia access to an established automotive retail and service network as the Korean brand prepares for further growth in the UAE.
The appointment ends Kia’s long standing relationship with Juma Al Majid Group, which played an important role in developing the brand and building its customer base in the UAE.
Kia Middle East and Africa acknowledged the contribution of Juma Al Majid Group while describing the appointment of Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors as an important step for the brand in the region.
The change comes as Kia expands beyond its traditional range of passenger cars and SUVs into electric vehicles, commercial models and new mobility products.
Existing Kia customers will continue receiving warranty and after sales support without interruption.
Current warranties, service agreements and other ownership commitments will be honored by Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors. Owners in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will receive support from Al Tayer Motors, while customers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will be supported by Premier Motors.
This continuity means existing owners will not need to sacrifice their current coverage because of the distributor transition.
The new partnership arrives at a significant time for Kia as its UAE range becomes broader and more diverse.
Alongside established models such as the Sportage, Sorento and Carnival, Kia is expanding further into electric mobility and new vehicle categories. The brand has introduced the PV5 in the UAE, while the Tasman pickup adds another important new segment to the lineup.
More launches are expected as Kia continues its focus on electrification and sustainable mobility.
Moving from Juma Al Majid Group to Al Tayer Motors represents one of the biggest changes to Kia’s UAE operations in recent years.
Al Tayer Motors now takes responsibility for growing a lineup that stretches from familiar family SUVs to electric vehicles, commercial mobility products and the new Tasman pickup.
For UAE buyers, the transition also brings Kia into one of the country’s largest automotive retail networks while maintaining existing warranty and service commitments.
Customers considering a new Kia can now explore the latest lineup through Al Tayer Motors in Dubai and the Northern Emirates or Premier Motors in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. With several new models joining the range, this is an important time to compare Kia’s latest vehicles and see how the brand’s next chapter in the UAE develops.
