Hyundai Pleos Connect Brings a Smarter Balance to In Car Technology

  • How does Pleos Connect balance large screens with physical controls?
  • What makes the Gleo AI assistant more advanced in understanding passengers?

Hyundai takes a bold step toward the future of in car technology with the launch of its all new Pleos Connect system. Designed to enhance the digital driving experience, this platform aims to combine advanced interfaces with real world usability. The rollout begins next month, with plans to expand across nearly 20 million vehicles from Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis by 2030. This move highlights the brand’s focus on delivering technology that feels both modern and practical for everyday drivers.

Interface Design

Interface Design

Hyundai approaches interface design with a clear goal, which is combining innovation with ease of use. The main central display features a large screen inspired by modern electric car layouts, allowing drivers to split it into three sections. This setup makes it possible to view navigation, media, and driver assistance systems at the same time without switching between menus.

At the same time, Hyundai avoids removing traditional elements that drivers rely on. A secondary digital display remains positioned behind the steering wheel, providing essential driving information in a clear and familiar format. This helps maintain focus while driving and ensures quick access to key data.

Most importantly, the system includes a row of physical buttons below the main screen. These controls handle functions such as seat heating, climate settings, and volume adjustment, giving drivers a faster and more intuitive way to interact with the car without relying entirely on touch inputs.

Intelligent Assistant

Intelligent Assistant

Hyundai introduces Gleo AI as the core of the Pleos Connect experience, bringing a new level of intelligence to voice interaction inside the car. The system can handle multiple commands at once and understands the broader context of conversations, making interactions feel more natural and efficient.

One of its standout features is spatial awareness. The system can identify where the speaker is sitting inside the cabin. For example, if a front passenger asks for seat heating, the system automatically applies the change to the correct seat without requiring additional instructions.

Hyundai also enhances the digital ecosystem by introducing its own app store, which already supports popular platforms such as YouTube and Spotify. This allows users to access entertainment and services directly through the car’s system without needing external devices.

With Pleos Connect, Hyundai delivers a balanced approach that combines advanced digital features with practical usability. It creates a driving environment that feels intuitive, connected, and tailored to the needs of modern drivers, setting a new direction for in car technology across its future models.
