Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 Delivered in Modena on the day of the 2026 Mille Miglia

  • What Makes the Maserati MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 So Special?

There is one date that marks the beginning of it all: 25 April 1926, when Alfieri Maserati took the start of the Targa Florio at the wheel of the Tipo 26, carrying the Trident logo on the bonnet for the very first time. One hundred years later, that same symbol and that same car become both inspiration and tribute: inspiration for a unique, personalised car, and a tribute to the centenary of Maserati’s iconic logo and to its first one hundred years as a protagonist on racetracks around the world.

MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 Celebrates Maserati’s Trident Legacy

From this vision comes the MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926, a bespoke car created through the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme.

The choice of time and place for the delivery was no coincidence either: the car is unveiled and handed over to its owner at the Maserati showroom in Modena, just as the 2026 Mille Miglia passes through the city, bringing together in a single day the thread that connects Italian motorsport, Maserati’s racing tradition and the most exclusive present of the Trident brand.

After all, there is an indissoluble bond between the Brand and the legendary race, as demonstrated by the 1931 Tipo 26 C, the first Maserati to take part in the prestigious competition, where it achieved a class victory that went down in history.

The MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 stands out for a personalisation developed around the colors and shapes of 1920s racing. The bodywork is finished in Grigio Lamiera Matte, a shade that evokes the raw materiality of competition car bodies from that era. Over it unfolds a bespoke livery that combines Rosso Capannelle, Blu Infinito and Bianco Pastello. At the center of the bonnet, the original Tipo 26 badge is faithfully reproduced with historical accuracy, establishing the most direct point of connection between the car of 1926 and that of 2026.

The historic Trident stands prominently on the front and on the B-pillar in Bianco Pastello, alongside the Fuoriserie logo painted in the same shade. The 20” Cyclonic wheels, diamond-cut with a red surface, echo the chromatic accent of the livery and are complemented by the black brake calipers. On the tonneau cover, the livery is completed by the Trident in Blu Infinito and white, in a dual interpretation of the current logo combined with the first historic Trident designed by Mario Maserati in 1926. The door badges, meanwhile, bear the signatures of the protagonists of that first race: Alfieri Maserati and mechanic Guerino Bertocchi. Finally, the Exterior Carbon Package integrates the color scheme with visible carbon-fibre inserts, a further sign of its performance vocation.

Inside, the captivating open-top car features Fuoriserie catalog specifications, with the Trident stitched on the headrests, reaffirming the narrative coherence of the project within the cabin as well. Heated seats, the Interior Carbon Package and the 695-watt, 12-speaker Sonus faber High Premium audio system create an environment where artisanal excellence meets the most advanced technology. The Driver Assistance Pack and front axle lift complete the equipment, ensuring everyday usability in line with the expectations of the most demanding customer.

The MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 is the result of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme, the brand’s division dedicated to creating collections and content capable of inspiring its customers, as well as unique or extremely limited-series cars built around the specific nature of each client’s requests. Every Fuoriserie project is born from an in-depth dialog between the buyer and the brand’s creative team, with the possibility to customise the bodywork, interiors, finishes and equipment until a truly unrepeatable configuration is achieved. The Maserati Fuoriserie programme is an integral part of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, a project that brings together tradition and innovation in a single expression of excellence, where craftsmanship, technology and meticulous attention to detail find their fullest expression.

With this symbolic delivery, the Year of the Trident continues through events and initiatives dedicated to the logo designed 100 years ago by Mario Maserati, a great art enthusiast who drew inspiration from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna, the birthplace of “Società anonima officine Alfieri Maserati”, founded in 1914. That emblem of strength and power first became the symbol of Maserati racing cars and later the unique signature on all road production models.
