Under the carbon fiber hood sits a 6.2 liter supercharged HEMI V8 producing 710 horsepower and 875 Nm of torque. Power is sent through an eight speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and a permanent all wheel drive system, allowing this large SUV to launch from 0 to 100 km per hour in around 3.5 seconds.

The Durango Hellcat can also complete the quarter mile in approximately 11.5 seconds. Yet the real experience goes beyond numbers. The supercharger whine, deep V8 soundtrack, and instant acceleration make every hard launch feel closer to a muscle car experience than a conventional family SUV.

The Durango Hellcat weighs more than 2.5 tonnes, so Dodge equipped it with hardware capable of managing both the weight and the massive engine output. High performance Brembo brakes feature six piston front calipers, while adaptive Bilstein dampers continuously adjust the suspension depending on the selected driving mode.

Drivers can choose between Street, Sport, Track, and Tow settings, allowing the Durango to shift from comfortable daily driving to a much more aggressive setup. It also retains genuine SUV capability with a towing capacity of around 3946 kg, making the Hellcat surprisingly practical despite its size.

Inside, the Durango mixes practicality with serious SRT character. Hellcat branded seats, red stitching, a 10.1 inch Uconnect screen, and dedicated performance pages let the driver monitor supercharger data, torque distribution, and acceleration figures directly from the cabin.
