Japanese customization specialist Damd has built its reputation by transforming the Suzuki Jimny with styling packages inspired by famous sport utility vehicles. Its latest creation takes a different direction by celebrating the history of the Jimny itself.
Known as Slash Garnish, the new accessory gives the current Suzuki Jimny a visual connection to older soft roof models. Instead of changing the body or installing a removable roof, Damd uses a simple styling element to recreate the divided rear window shape associated with classic open roof Jimny generations.
Uses the Slash Garnish package a diagonal trim piece that attaches directly over the rear side window. Divides this small addition the original glass area into two visual sections, creating a silhouette similar to the split windows found on older Jimny models with fabric roofs.
Avoids the package complex body modifications, making the transformation largely cosmetic. Reduces the trim piece rear passenger visibility slightly, but creates a more distinctive profile that immediately separates the vehicle from a standard Jimny.
Strengthens Damd the illusion by finishing the roof and rear pillars in a contrasting color. Makes this combination the upper section appear similar to a removable hard roof, even though the original body structure remains unchanged.
Draws the concept inspiration from the Jimny heritage rather than another automotive brand. Gives this approach the compact off road vehicle a nostalgic personality while preserving the practical simplicity that has helped make the Jimny popular across global markets.
Offers Damd the Slash Garnish in an unpainted finish or in three official colors. Include the available choices Medium Gray, Jungle Green and Chiffon Ivory Metallic, allowing owners to match or contrast the accessory with the original body color.
Provides the company an optional wood panel for customers seeking a warmer classic appearance. Complements this panel the wood reinforced roof basket already offered by Damd, creating a coordinated theme across the side and upper sections of the vehicle.
Fits the Slash Garnish narrow body Jimny models produced for the Japanese market and the wider Jimny Sierra sold in international markets. Does not fit the five door Jimny Nomade because its longer body uses a completely different rear window design.
Starts the accessory price in Japan at 52,800 yen, which equals approximately 330 dollars. Adds professional painting 33,000 yen, while shipping costs another 6,600 yen. Raises the optional wood panel the price by 24,530 yen.
Brings the complete package price to 116,930 yen, equal to approximately 720 dollars before installation costs. Delivers the accessory a relatively simple way for three door Jimny owners to add a rare classic character without making permanent structural changes.
