Mercedes Benz introduces the completely redesigned GLA as a more expressive, spacious and intelligent compact luxury SUV created for modern urban life. The new generation receives a lower body, a longer wheelbase and a wider rear stance, giving it a sportier appearance while improving passenger comfort and everyday practicality.
Customers can initially choose from three fully electric versions, including models that provide up to 657 kilometers of driving range. Electrified gasoline versions will follow in early 2027, giving buyers greater flexibility when selecting the powertrain that suits their daily routine.
Mercedes Benz also brings major changes inside the cabin. A panoramic glass roof, a wide MBUX Superscreen and more refined materials create a brighter and more modern environment. Generative artificial intelligence supports the MBUX Virtual Assistant, allowing drivers to ask complex questions, search for destinations and control vehicle functions through natural conversation.
Orders open on July 30, 2026. German pricing starts at 48,599.60 euros including VAT for the GLA 200 electric. The GLA 250 Plus electric starts at 54,978 euros, while the more powerful GLA 350 4MATIC electric starts at 58,107.70 euros.
Lowers Mercedes Benz the body by 20 millimeters and extends the wheelbase by 61 millimeters. Gives the wider rear stance, muscular shoulders and larger wheels the GLA a more athletic appearance.
Introduces the electric GLA an illuminated grille with 608 light points and animated welcome effects. Adds star inspired lighting at the front and rear to create a recognizable Mercedes Benz identity.
Offers four equipment lines, including Style, Progressive, AMG Line and AMG Line Plus. Adds the Night Edition dark trim, black wheels and sport focused interior details.
Expands the luggage compartment to 410 liters, providing 70 liters more than the previous model. Increases capacity to 1,400 liters when the rear seats are folded.

Delivers the electric GLA up to 657 kilometers of estimated WLTP range. Uses 800 volt technology to add up to 270 kilometers of range in only ten minutes at a compatible charging station.
Produces the GLA 200 electric 165 kW, while the GLA 250 Plus electric develops 200 kW. Leads the range the GLA 350 4MATIC electric with 260 kW and acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds.
Introduces Mercedes Benz electrified gasoline models in 2027. Combines these versions a 1.5 liter turbo engine with a 48 volt system and an electric motor integrated into the transmission.
Creates the longer wheelbase more legroom and headroom for passengers in both rows. Adds the standard panoramic roof a brighter and more open cabin atmosphere.
Offers the optional MBUX Superscreen a driver display, a 14 inch central screen and a separate 14 inch passenger screen. Supports the system more than 40 entertainment applications and streaming services.
Uses the MBUX Virtual Assistant artificial intelligence from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini. Allows drivers to ask detailed questions, locate charging stations, find parking spaces and control vehicle functions through natural conversation.
Equips the GLA with cameras, radar sensors and ultrasonic sensors for driving and parking assistance. Adds available lane changing support, automated parking and detailed surround views.
Completes the cabin the available Burmester 3D sound system with 16 speakers, 850 watts and Dolby Atmos support. Combines the new GLA electric range, useful storage and intelligent technology in a compact SUV designed for modern daily life.
