Polestar continues to challenge traditional vehicle categories with the 2027 Polestar 4 SUV, combining the sleek proportions of a coupe with the practicality and cargo space normally associated with a wagon.
The new model retains the clean Scandinavian design of the existing Polestar 4 while adding more everyday usability. A taller roof, conventional rear glass and increased luggage capacity make it a more practical choice without taking away from its streamlined electric character.
One of the biggest changes is the return of a conventional rear window. Unlike the original Polestar 4, which relies entirely on a rear camera, the SUV adds heated rear glass and a discreet rear wiper hidden beneath the roof spoiler.
Drivers can still choose a digital rear view mirror, providing a clear view behind the vehicle even when the luggage area is fully loaded.

Loading to the roof increases capacity to 655 litres, while a 15 litre front storage compartment provides additional space for charging cables and smaller items.
Polestar offers the SUV with two electric powertrains, both using a 100 kWh lithium ion battery.
The single motor version produces 268 hp and 343 Nm of torque through the rear wheels. It accelerates from zero to 100 kmh in 7.3 seconds and offers up to 630 km of estimated WLTP range.
The dual motor model increases output to 544 hp and 686 Nm while adding all wheel drive. It reaches 100 kmh in just 3.9 seconds and offers up to 600 km of estimated range.
The Polestar 4 SUV supports DC fast charging at up to 200 kW. Under suitable conditions, the battery can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in around 30 minutes.
Vehicle to Load functionality provides up to 3.3 kW of external power, allowing the battery to run compatible electrical equipment away from a charging station.
A dedicated camping mode adds another practical element for owners who plan to use the car for road trips and outdoor adventures.
