A 17-member international jury of experts selected the winners from a total of 185 entries. 47 products and solutions had previously made it through to the final round. The entries were assessed on their innovative content, cost-effectiveness, user benefits, functionality, aftermarket relevance, safety, durability and quality, as well as their contribution to environmental protection, resource conservation and sustainability.

“An idea becomes an innovation when it makes a difference in practice: when it improves processes, conserves resources, opens up new possibilities or solves a specific problem,” says Michael Johannes, Brand Manager Automechanika at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. “The entries impressively demonstrate how actively the industry is shaping change – with solutions for workshops, the retail sector, industry and the mobility of tomorrow. Particularly in times of transformation, it is all the more important to give these innovations visibility and to connect the industry’s key players.”

The award-winning products address key themes in the automotive aftermarket: artificial intelligence, digitalisation, electromobility, and sustainable and cost-effective repair and remanufacturing concepts. Among the winners were an autonomous vehicle inspection robot, an AI-supported diagnostic assistant and a digital system for the return and evaluation of used parts. Solutions aimed at extending product life cycles and reducing resource consumption also impressed the jury – such as a reconditioning process for electric drive motors and a particularly durable brake disc for the aftermarket.

The Green Award is a special prize awarded by the jury for particularly sustainable innovations. This year, Autocraft has been honoured for its “Autocraft REVIVE® EV Battery Workshops”. The concept enables the repair and reconditioning of high-voltage batteries and demonstrates how resources can be conserved, emissions reduced and sustainable solutions implemented at scale in the aftermarket.

Special exhibition and presentation of the winning products

Alongside the nominated products, the winners will be showcased in an interactive special exhibition in the Innovation4Mobility area in Hall 3.0, A96. The winners will also present their solutions on 10 September from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm on the Innovation4Mobility stage in Hall 3.0, B98.
