Hyundai Pleos Connect Brings AI Tech Without Losing Real Buttons

  • What makes Hyundai Pleos Connect different inside the cabin?
  • How does Pleos Connect make driving guidance simpler?

Hyundai is moving deeper into the age of software defined vehicles with Pleos Connect, a new infotainment experience designed to make future models smarter, easier to use, and more connected. Instead of chasing a fully screen based cabin, Hyundai is taking a more balanced route. Pleos Connect brings a large center touchscreen, artificial intelligence, app controls, and over the air updates, while still keeping useful physical controls for important functions like audio and climate settings. For drivers in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf, this direction feels practical because advanced technology matters, but quick access to basic cabin controls still makes daily driving smoother.

Smart Cabin Layout

Hyundai Pleos Connect places a large horizontal touchscreen at the center of the experience, giving the cabin a clean and modern digital feel. The setup shown in the Hyundai Ioniq 3 also keeps real knobs for volume and tuning, along with toggle switches for climate controls. This gives drivers a more natural way to manage everyday features without digging through menus while driving.

In front of the driver, Hyundai adds a narrow digital display on top of the dashboard. It shows key information such as speed, media details, and turn by turn navigation. The larger center screen carries most of the deeper functions and is divided into three main zones. One area shows vehicle information and a 3D view of nearby objects and people. Another area handles navigation, media, and apps. A static shortcut bar adds quick access to repeated functions. Hyundai also adds a three finger gesture that lets users close apps quickly or move app windows around the screen.

Easier Navigation

Easier Navigation

Hyundai says Pleos Connect makes navigation easier by reducing visual clutter and focusing on the most important tools. The menus are reorganized so drivers can reach major functions faster, while the graphics use simpler icons that are easier to recognize at a glance. This matters in busy cities, long highway drives, and daily commutes where clear information can reduce distraction.

The system also allows more flexible screen layouts. Navigation can share space with other apps, while details such as estimated arrival time and full route view can appear in floating tiles. This means drivers can keep route guidance visible while also managing music, calls, or other connected services. For tech focused drivers, it creates a more customizable experience without making the interface feel overly complicated.

Hyundai is adding an AI agent called Gleo to Pleos Connect. At launch, Gleo will focus on familiar voice control tasks such as changing vehicle settings, helping with navigation, and handling web searches. Over time, Hyundai plans to expand its abilities through over the air updates, allowing the assistant to become more personal and useful as the system evolves.

Pleos Connect will first launch on the new Grandeur sedan in Korea, then move to global models such as the Ioniq 3 in Europe. Hyundai has not confirmed the exact timing for America yet, but the system is expected to arrive there within the next year or two. By 2030, Hyundai plans to have Pleos Connect running in 20 million Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles, making it a major part of the group’s future cabin experience.
